Claire Milne
I founded K9 Animal Ambulance after 11 years working for the RSPCA, where I received commendations for my achievements in animal rescue. I noticed there was no service around that provided 24/7 emergency transport for animals and made it my mission to bring that to our region.
Since I set out back in 2011 me and my team have helped hundreds of pets in their time of need. It is our expert knowledge that has allowed us to safely and securely transport animals to the vets and even save lives in times of crisis. This is why our vans are always pet first aid kits, pet stretches, oxygen and all the other things you would expect for an ambulance service. We all feel that our pets are not just animals but our family and so treat them with the same care we would a human.
I am also a Pet First Aid tutor where I teach people the importance of understanding their pets and the necessary steps to take in an emergency. I teach how to act in the possible life or death situations before or during transports to the vets.
I hold a valid SIA licence (Security Industry Authority) to which i have had to undergo the appropriate training and pass the relevant exams which allows me to work in this industry, at the front line.

Beverly
Beverly has over 15 years experience working with animals, her main roll is transporting sick and injured pet to the vets. She enjoys helping the pet owners by offering support and compassion at all times. She is the kind of person you can always guarantee a jolly conversation with to help brighten the mood. She is a confident driver and is always keen to offer with the longer transport journeys into London and beyond. She is also our qualified home checker and micro chipper and is fully trained and qualified to offer pet first aid should this need to be given.

Full clean driving license, CPD pet first aid, Pet I.D micro chipper, Animal handling and restraint, Qualified home checker for pets looking for new homes, CRB.
Cody
Cody is our very own auxiliary nurse (ACA) she is currently studying applied science at college, whilst working for k9 she also works at veterinary practice with hopes in the near future to become a qualified veterinary nurse, specialising in wildlife. She loves all animals but defiantly loves her cats and rescuing orphaned kittens, she has saved many little kittens over the years that have needed hand rearing and rehabilitation. We are very proud of how far she has come so far. she is a valid part of the team.

Claire heads the wonderful K9 Animal Ambulance (and transport service). She was extremely helpful with my puppy’s veterinary referral transport needs.
My driver Lauren was so kind and friendly, totally taking my mind off worrying about my puppy. He was in such safe hands and I would not hesitate to use the service again.
For future reference it was so good to know that I could call an ambulance for my pet 24/7.

A PAWFECT SERVICE I am so pleased to have the opportunity of recommending K9 Animal Ambulance Service. I was in need of emergency assistance for my Pharaoh Hound, Jasper, recently and cannot speak highly enough of the service that Claire gave me and Jasper, in getting him to the Vets, staying with us the whole time, assisting the Vet and bringing us home safe and sound. Claire was also able to assist me further on another visit, in re-training Jasper to get in my car, something he has refused to do for 18 months. A very efficient and friendly Pet Service. CLAIRE, AN ABSOLUTE STAR, THANK YOU! We needed an urgent vet service as our usual vets (Colne Valley) declined to come out and help. So we ended up at Vets Now in Colchester, having needed the help and services of Claire from K9 Animal Ambulance Services, whom was absolutely brilliant, caring, compassionate, professional and sympathetic etc., as it became evident we were to say goodbye to our Phoebe (our beautiful Great Dane, Harlequin). AMAZING,PROFESSIONAL AND SO HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY Fantastic service. I contacted this company for help with a stray cat that had turned up. I tried all the services and companies you would expect to help with no success . When I contacted this company they were already very busy but squeezed us in the next morning and saved the day. Our little cat friend scanned and returned to their owner there and then . Everyone happy. Once again thank you so much amazing service Claire – above and beyond .

FAB DOG TAXI SERVICE! I can’t recommend Claire and her team highly enough! Our puppy goes to doggy day care a couple of days a week and the day care centre isn’t open long enough for us to do drop offs and pick ups ourselves – so Claire comes in once we’ve left for work and takes our pup to the centre, then collects him at the end of the day and drops him back home so that he’s there when we get in from work. Claire is always prompt and is great at keeping in contact so that we always know what’s going on. We can tell by the text messages that Claire sends us that she really does care for the animals she looks after and transports, whether they’re healthy or unwell! Simply fabulous service, thank you!

A VERY KIND, PROFESIONAL & RELIABLE NEVER FAILING SERVICE. Having known of & used this excellent service for 1 year, Claire has been very kind & reassuring, to both my much loved 15 year old Jack Russells, & myself, taking us to regular veterinary appointments, attending their appointments with me, she was also with me when I had to say my devastating ‘Good Byes’ to them. Claire is on call ’24-7′ and has always managed to help with my pets, which gives an incredible peace of mind, I have found a very kind, caring and trustworthy friend in Claire. FIVE STAR RATING First class service! Professional and caring service for both cat and stressed owner. My cat was referred by the vet to the Animal Hospital Trust in Newmarket for an eye investigation. Not wishing to drive I called K9. Once Claire arrived her attitude had an immediate calming influence. She knows the hospital and remained during the consultation and examination which resulted in surgery and an overnight stay. Claire collected the cat and returned her home and, before leaving, ensured that I fully understood the instructions regarding treatment and medication. I will be using the service again for the follow up consultation.

EXCELLENT, EFFICIENT SERVICE Very friendly, efficient service. They arrived within 30 minutes of calling them. My dog was looked after and cared for superbly and they were able to answer any questions I had. They advised me on how best to care for my dog and left contact details in case I had any further questions or issue’s.
I would strongly recommend this service.

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM CARING PROFESSIONALS We first used K9 Animal Ambulance for a weekend emergency, and were very grateful for the professional service, not to mention kindness and moral support at a stressful time, in transporting a very sick dog to the out-of-hours veterinary practice, and subsequently moving her between there and our own practice over the course of the next few days. Since then we have used the pet taxi facility for more routine vet’s appointments, and a home visit for microchipping our dogs at very competitive rates. We really appreciate the competent, reliable, cost effective and friendly service provided by Claire and her team and could not recommend them more highly.

PROFESSIONAL BUT ALSO EXTREMELY KIND We used K9’s pet ambulance service to take our pet cat to the vet after she became extremely ill. Our cat was very difficult to handle (even when we’ll) as she was very nervous and flighty. I had never successfully picked her up or taken her to the vet in three years since we rescued her from an animal charity. Claire was very reassuring and came urgently. She handled our cat very professionally and came to the vet appointment. It was a relief for her to join the appointment because our cat proved very difficult to handle whilst at the vet, particularly whilst having blood taken. Claire was kind and reassuring throughout – I also felt the cost was reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Claire and K9.

K9 AMBULANCE FOR PET NEEDS IS THE BEST i have used k9 numerous times and the girls are all brilliant.. They are great with my dogs giving them their flea treatments and great with us giving advice etc when and where needed.. Can’t fault them at all and hope they carry on.. Recommended to all.

BRILLIANT SERVICE I have a Rottweiler x Doberman that is very wary of people touching her feet and no other vet or grooming parlour could cut her nails resulting in them being very long and causing problems but the 2 lovely ladies came and reassured everyone(humans and roxy (the dog))that everything will be ok they calmed her down and gained the trust resulting in her nails being cut top marks for brilliant service defiantly be using your services again x

I can’t thank Clare for her compassion to her job, & How she made me feel just after coming to see to my dog & making a appointment for the vet. I’ve used k9 over two years ago when I had to put my nearly 17 yr old rottie to sleep, Clare was with me all the way & made everything so much easier to cope with. I highly recommend k9.
